Crowd mentality pt2

When all the appointed people had entered, the king called on a man in the town that was known for always saying the truth(no matter who was concerned), when he was called upon everyone booed him. He went in spent a lot of time inside and when he finally came out, he told the everyone he didnt see any being inside, that all he saw was chairs and tables, everyone started aughing and making jest of him.
Then the king called for decorum, he cleared his throat and then he told the whole town that he had wanted to test the sincerity of the rich people he chose, that there was no angel anywhere(in the house) and he just wanted to see those that would stand for the truth.
Most often we do things based on what the majority are doing or what they would think, not that one should be an outcast or an anti-societist but it would be good when we ask ourselves these questions when taking decisions, why must i do this? If i must do it, why am i doing it? Am i doing this cause its the right thing to do, or its what i want?
There was a time that a cantonment exploded in my state, so there was series of explosions and most people didnt know what was happening. Some people on hearing the blasts started running, within few minutes there were over a hundred people running, following those they saw running without thinking of where the blasts was from or where those that were running were going, about twenty-something of them ran into quicksand.
Whatever we do, lets be sure we want to do it, know how we want to go about it.

Crowd mentality pt 1

Once upon a time in a little town, the king of the town called on his people and told them an angel was in a particular house in the city, that only righteous and holy people could see the angel. That if anyone was interested in seeing the angel, they would be given audience on a particular date he chose. Everyone wanted to participate but since they were too many, the king said only the elites and rich people of the town would be given the opportunity.
On the chosen day everyone gathered and the ones that had been selected to go see the angel were prepared.
The first man entered, spent 5 minutes inside and came out, he told everyone he had seen the angel, that the angel told him about how to make his businesses better, he told him to thank the king and to tell everyone that good things were coming to the town soon. The second man also went in, spent few minutes, came out and he told everyone that he had also seen the angel, that the angel told him about his nearest future, his enemies, things he should for the town. This went on till all the chosen people had entered.
To be continued....

Different meanings

One of life's major problems is the fact that a single idea, action, event, speech, e.t.c. can have different meanings. Acknowledging and being consciuos of this fact makes it a easier to face situations in our lives, how?
Most things in life are in pairs, good and bad, male and female, sweet and bitter, and so on. Nature has it that humans would easily tend to the negative side of each pair but knowing and being concious of these facts, when faced with any situation or in whatever instance one should consider the different meanings that can be infered and choose the positive ones because when one thinks positively one has better chances of being happy and being happy puts one at his/her best.
